Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call requirement of 8–10 days per month, including 1–2 weekends per month

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess patients systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care, modifying plans based on patient outcomes and clinical evaluations.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical facts; perform Point of Care testing procedures as required.
• Coordinate team assignments and delegate unit work appropriately, following up on delegated tasks to ensure quality and completeness of patient care.
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning; implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Promote a positive, professional work environment; collaborate with physicians, staff, and visitors to support unit and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification via the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ACLS Certification via the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current knowledge and clinical skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, adapting approach to the developmental age of the patient.
• Experience orienting new staff or students in a clinical unit environment.
