Credit Risk Officer II Location: Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 Compensation: Total Base Pay Range $121,900.00 – $262,100.00 USD Annual. Eligible for incentive compensation based on performance. General Function Executive credit risk management, including independent judgment, constructive challenge of credit risk recommendations, loan portfolio monitoring, and credit exposure approval. Coordinates with Line of Business (LOB) teams to ensure credit standards are met and updates policies as necessary. Provides analysis on credit quality, attends LOB meetings, and participates in customer calls. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Approve or reject complex loans within delegated authority and approved risk limits. Ensure policies reflect the Bank’s credit risk appetite and are reviewed in a timely manner. Advise credit and loan personnel on policy trends and recommend changes. Conduct forward‑looking reviews for ongoing credit exposure maintenance. Challenge credit approval packages and develop action plans for limit breaches. Provide effective, credible challenge on client selection, risk identification, and adherence to underwriting standards. Participate in LOB deal screens to provide early feedback. Review Bancorp credit quality reports and assess LOB adherence to risk appetite. Attend meetings including loan, portfolio review, and administrative meetings to provide challenge. Provide analysis and recommendations to Senior Credit Officer. Represent Bancorp in high‑level customer interactions and community affairs. Adjudicate requests to change regulatory classifications. Oversee and challenge the timeliness of transfers to the Special Assets Group. Portfolio review responsibilities: Use internal and external data to identify portfolio trends such as concentration risks and emerging risks. Determine Direction of Risk (DOR) and Level of Risk (LOR) and recommend actions to reduce or strengthen risk. Supervisory Responsibilities May supervise others, providing timely performance feedback, career development opportunities, and succession planning. Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting; Master’s Degree preferred. Ten+ years of related credit experience. Proficiency in financial and credit analysis, portfolio management. Knowledge of banking industry, regulations, commercial banking, capital markets, and treasury products. Proficient in Excel, Word, and other spreadsheet applications. Ability to learn and use various computer systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong people and relationship building skills. Working Conditions Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.
