Project Engineer - DCS

Rutgers University is hiring a Project Engineer for Digital Classroom Services. The role involves maintaining and overseeing the technology in over 300 learning spaces across the RU‑New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses, collaborating with team members on technology research and implementation, and enhancing classroom pedagogy through advanced audio‑visual and telepresence solutions. Highlights Maintain and oversee functionality of technology in 300+ learning spaces at Rutgers University campuses. Collaborate with other engineers and team members to research and improve applications, software, and hardware. Design and implement pedagogy equipment, telepresence technologies, lecture capture, and active learning environments. Requires knowledge of audio‑visual technologies, AVoIP, design software, MacOS, and MS Office. Experience in AV rack building, signal flow, and audio/visual solutions installation. Familiarity with video telepresence platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex), Biamp programming, Dante, Shure audio, and Extron programming. Preferred qualifications include CTS certification, Biamp certification, supervisory experience, and work in AVoIP environments. Position offers a salary range from $71,111 to $108,800 with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans, and educational benefits. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a valid driver's license.
