ICU Nurse Requirements

Minimum

1 year of ICU nursing experience required Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Missouri RN license or Compact State RN license accepted Strong critical care, assessment, and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Additional unit-specific certifications as required

The Transitional Care Unit supports patients transitioning from intensive care or requiring enhanced monitoring and treatment.
