It is committed to equity and inclusion across all staff and patients. Position Summary Join our team as an MRI Technologist – Outpatient in Woodbury & Garden City. Under the direction of a radiologist, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and quality standards are met. Job Responsibilities Accurately utilize PACS to make images available to the radiologist with minimal exceptions. Enter exam coding in the Radiology Information System and complete exams in a timely manner. Assist in the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies and report issues to supervision. Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum and perform exams with them. Perform other duties as assigned. Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images of specified body areas per order. Prepare, position, or immobilize patients and provide clear instructions prior to exams. Ensure images meet departmental SOP guidelines and practice safety protocols for patients and staff. Minimum Qualifications • Technical Diploma Graduate from an AMA‑approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services. • New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temporary Permit. • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification. • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills. • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Radiology or a related health field. 1–2 years of MRI technologist experience or training.
