The live‑in model allows for structure in a client's home environment. DSPs work 16 hours a day (minus unpaid break time), approximately two weeks per month, and are paid full‑time with overtime (time and a half for 25 hours). Live‑in DSPs receive a weekly food budget and 7‑hour break during each shift. All off time must be spent off location – the individual's home cannot be your primary residence. Enrich and support residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self‑care Assist with activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating Prepare meals and snacks Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties Provide mobility and transfer assistance, including the use of mechanical lift devices Implement positive behavior supports and de‑escalate challenging behaviors when needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Valid U.S. driver’s license Ability to live in the home for 7 days Ability to leave the home for 7 days Must be 18+ years old High school diploma or GED 1 year of caregiving experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities highly preferred Good communication skills in reading, writing, and documentation. Must collaborate with internal and external team members.
