Skilled Machine Operator
Morris, IL
$22.00–$25.00 per hour
Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Some Saturdays as needed
Express Employment Professionals of Ottawa & Morris is seeking a Skilled Machine Operator for a local manufacturing facility in Morris, IL. If you have experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, steel, or shop environment and enjoy working with machinery and materials, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career with a stable company.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Skilled Machine Operator, you will:
- Operate automated sawmill equipment and punch press machinery
- Read and accurately use a tape measure
- Move steel and raw materials throughout the facility
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift and material handling equipment
- Follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures
- Load, unload, and transport materials as needed
- Assist with general warehouse and shop duties
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work independently and collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, steel, or shop experience preferred
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workday
