About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with a focus on commercial and GTM partnerships. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the legal team, responsible for owning complex commercial negotiations, guiding product development, and designing scalable, AI-assisted legal workflows. This role demands a professional with a builder mindset, capable of turning ad hoc processes into scalable, documented ones, and a high level of AI fluency, as the legal function is AI-native. The Assistant General Counsel will also be involved in managing and developing a team of commercial attorneys, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, and ensuring the legal team is deeply embedded in the business, with a fast, trusted, and efficient legal function. Applicants for this role at the company should have a J.D. and at least 10 years of legal experience, with a strong mix of top-tier law firm and in-house work, ideally in SaaS, fintech, cybersecurity, or crypto/Web3. The role requires a professional with significant experience in negotiating complex B2B technology agreements, providing product counseling, and a deep understanding of AI, data, and privacy issues. A builder mindset, AI-native working style, and excellent communication and judgment are essential.
