Job Summary

In this position the individual will work inside our 6,500 sqft. shop to learn the skills and competencies required in this field. We are seeking a candidate who can provide creative solutions, think outside of the box, and has the willingness and ability to learn and grow. This role will focus on all aspects of architectural millwork. We prefer candidates who have prior experience or training in woodworking and are willing to train a motivated individual who works hard to learn quickly.

Tasks & Responsibilities

· Ability to create and follow a plan to achieve the daily, weekly and monthly goals; this includes safety, accuracy and productivity while maintaining a critical sense of urgency.

· Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications

· Review and analyze orders to ensure proper materials are provided and an accurate cut list is generated

· Set up equipment and material in order to assemble custom millwork accordingly

· Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools and power tools

· Use woodworking tools such as shaper, planer, jointer, table saw and band saw

· Produce custom millwork pieces based on provided illustrations or purchase orders

· Utilize special tools to create intricate details

· Evaluate finished product to ensure company standards are met or exceeded

· Adhere to safety requirements when operating tools and equipment. Handles material in a safe and appropriate manner and reports any defects or safety issues immediately

· Contribute to the development of systems and processes which make our team(s) more efficient and effective.

· Work with other Company members to solve cross-functional problems
