Production Operator

The Production Operator role is responsible for gathering and staging bag ingredients for mixing; shopping for bulk ingredients to be held in drug and sub-divide rooms, then weighed out into kegs for hand-add ingredient preparation and/or managing the palletizers from each bagging line to remove finished products from the palletizing area and placing goods onto trailers or into the queue for put-away by warehouse personnel.

Production Pick-Up Duties:

• Operate a forklift to gather bag ingredients according to BMI
• Gather products into the staging area to send upstairs when requested
• Understand and use the Oracle System as well as other databases
• Weigh each pallet on the pallet scales and documenting the weight of each pallet
• Verify the lot, batch, and product numbers on the pick-up sheet match the information on the BMI and the bagged inventory being handled for addition to the production batch
• Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained as required
• Check the partial rack to retrieve partial bags from last time product was run and document all partial bags from prior runs in the appropriate space on the BMI
• Responsible for occasionally unloading trailers and storing products in the appropriate space in the production warehouse
• Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completed
• Assist Production Palletizer and Production Sub-Divide operators as needed
• Follow all procedures as outlined in the SOP
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management

Production Sub-Divide Duties:

• Operate a forklift to gather bag ingredients according to shopping list
• Maintain required inventories of ingredients in vitamin and drug rooms
• Understand and use the Oracle System as well as other databases
• Verify the lot, batch, and product numbers on the pick-up sheet match the information on the BMI and the bagged inventory while accurately weighing ingredients into kegs for addition to mixing systems; ensure kegged inventory awaiting addition to mixers is clearly marked for identification
• Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and complete all listed housekeeping duties
• Assist Production Pick Up operators as needed
• Follow all procedures as outlined in the SOP
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management
• Complete daily drug count for production reconciliation at end of day
• Ensure proper handling and identification tagging of color-coded kegs for ingredient addition
• Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completed

Production Palletizing Duties:

• Operate a forklift to pull finished ingredients from bagging lines as needed
• Verify the lot, batch, and product numbers on the pallet cards match the information on the pallet and bagged inventory produced
• Assist production pick-up operators as needed
• Ensure all pallets are properly shrink wrapped, boxed or protected; labeled or marked as required
• Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completed
• Responsible for occasionally unloading trailers and storing products in the appropriate space in the production warehouse
• Loading trailers with product to be transferred to 3rd Party Warehouse, assist loading of outbound trucks after normal shipping hours.
• Supply production with packaging supplies (i.e. cardboard, bags for the label room, pallets for production, etc.)
• Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completed
• Follow all procedures as outlined in the SOP
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
• Detailed oriented and has proven computer proficiency
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to operate a forklift and tow motor safely
• May require a valid driver's license
