Creates, drives, and maintains a positive employee culture* Analyzes ITR needs and makes recommendations to the Nursing Manager or Supervisor* Ensures that any bottlenecks are addressed and minimized in pre-booking at the ITR* Reviews nursing documentation and Electronic Health Record queues to ensure that nursing tasks are completed (ID Screening, TB reads, Health Assessments, Facility Moves, Alerts, Sick Call Appointments, etc.)* Ensures the availability of equipment and supplies necessary for the daily operation of the clinic* Communicates with nursing staff on shift and provides direction to optimize workflows.* Ensures that anything medically necessary is completed before patients are moved out of ITR to an assigned housing location**Working Conditions*** Ability to work inside a jail and stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time throughout the shift, accurately handling a high volume of work, communicating with a culturally diverse patient population, decision making, and adapting to frequent changes, interruptions, and unscheduled tasks* Position includes day or night shift work, which may include weekends and holidays* Ability to travel or float to various clinical locations is required within a 5-mile radius* Ability to respond to emergencies and get on the floor to perform CPR/chest compressions, push medical equipment, climb stairs, and lift patients on a gurney* Active and valid BLS, CPR, and First Aid Certifications that meet the AHA curriculum standards, with in-person skills test and hands-on demonstration components, are required upon hire* Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check and maintain MCSO jail access**Selection Procedure*** Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications* Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile* Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitiveMaricopa County is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
