Surface Haul Truck DriverHours: 7am-5pm Monday – FridayPay: $23 to $26 an hourMartin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Kansas Portable Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy equipment to include haul truck, motor grader, water truck, etc. to bring raw materials from pit to plant in a safe and efficient manner at maximum loading capacity.This position will be based out of Leavenworth, KS but will travel around to locations near Onaga, St. Mary's and Soldier Kansas to produce aggregate at those locations. This position is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the best companies in the industry.Essential FunctionsMust be able to or willing to learn to operate all other mobile equipment, including: haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and craneAssist in plant repairs and clean-upPerform pre-shift safety inspection on equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment. Report needed repairs to shop personnelResponsible for good housekeeping of equipmentAdhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulationsPerform duties with minimum supervisionMinimum Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMust have a valid driver's licenseExperience is a plus but will train the right candidateBi-Lingual is a plusWorking ConditionsLarger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments that may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry.
