Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit located in Golden, Colorado. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for a 32-bed unit that manages patients with acute and transitional needs. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while managing medical functions within the scope of practice.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license in the state of practice or a valid Compact RN license BLS (American Heart Association) certification ACLS (American Heart Association) certification Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a clinical setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a step-down or similar unit is preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• Additional Information:
  • Responsible for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with the state Board of Nursing standards
  • Conducts ongoing health assessments, patient education, and counseling
  • Executes therapy and treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
  • Documents care and therapy in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Utilizes resources efficiently and promotes the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization
  • May be required to be placed on-call during scheduled shifts
  • May be required to float to other departments based on operational needs
