Physical Therapist Outpatient NO WEEKENDS OR EVENINGS Sign-on bonus!

Responsibilities Evaluate the patient's functional status, including review of medical history, diagnosis, and physician's prescription; observation and interview of patient/caregiver; application of appropriate assessment procedures. Determine short‑ and long‑term goals with patient/caregiver input; establish a plan of care based on goals and evaluation results. Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions, progress treatment plan, teach patients/caregivers activities to reinforce interventions, provide/fitting appropriate assistive devices, and recognize patient distress signals requiring follow‑up. Document evaluations/re‑evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries; record data required for statistics, billing, and quality improvement activities as appropriate. Help patients accomplish treatment plan by administering manual therapy interventions where appropriate and using equipment as necessary. Utilize the assistance of Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Techs and volunteers as appropriate; provide supervision to the above as required by regulations. Communicate with multidisciplinary team members, discussing evaluation findings, patient progress and other pertinent information. Communicate with patients/caregivers to allay anxieties, seek input and elicit cooperation. Participate in performance improvement activities, collecting data and suggesting areas for improvement. Complete necessary continuing education requirements for licensing purposes. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Experience: None required; 2 years related experience preferred. Skills: Knowledge of physical therapy theories, practices and standards; oral and written communication; organizational ability; ability to set priorities and schedule patients efficiently; evaluate patient function; develop and monitor treatment plans; manage an average caseload of up to 3 patients per hour; demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Licensure & Certifications Current Maryland license as a Physical Therapist. Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification). Physical Requirements Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 75% of work time when administering treatments, observing patients, and maintaining records. Pay Range $74,965.56 - $127,441.45; final salary offer will be based on qualifications, education, experience and organizational needs.
