Electrician

Description The Electrician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant operation.
- Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and components on a routine basis to ensure proper function and identify hazards or code issues.
- Troubleshoot system and component malfunctions and develop repair or maintenance plans.
- Repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and related equipment, to maintain full functionality.
- Test systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to ensure safety and compatibility.
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to support accurate installation and repairs.
- Recommend replacement of equipment or components based on condition, lifespan, and safety risks.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and materials used.
- Perform routine maintenance on schedule to prevent larger issues and reduce costs.
- Complete other industrial maintenance duties as assigned.
- Electrician certification required
- Strong understanding of electrical controls
- Experience with PLC programming
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards
- Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Journeyman Electrician status preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical infrastructure and control systems, including PLCs
