Product Demonstrator Part Time

Description An Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of the products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner, and maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Responsibilities Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the represented products. Proactively intercept, engage, interact with, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Properly set up and prepare event table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per company policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to adjust the role based on business or client needs. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient use and navigation of personal computer or mobile device, using applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required. Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk and hear, visual ability to read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step on ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull wheeled demonstration cart, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment, limited travel. Physical Appearance: Must ensure professional appearance and proper grooming; neat, clean, appropriately groomed; specific retailer dress code requirements in training documents. Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
