Maintenance mechanic

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician who is flexible, safety-oriented, and thrives on solving tough problems? We are looking for an individual that has at least 5 years experience working in industrial maintenance that is knowledgeable with PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance. salary: $52,000 - $72,800 per year

Responsibilities

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in industrial establishment by performing the following duties:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Design and document basic electric circuits and specify parts.
• Rebuild equipment, gearboxes, pump systems, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience welding -Tig, Mig and Stick (a plus, but not required).
• Tests machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus: transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support 24-hour production operations.
• Understanding of PLC's to be able to troubleshoot.
• Understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Understand the basics of working around and using High Voltage equipment.
• Understand the basics of microprocessor-based equipment, loop controllers, VFD etc.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 80lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 12 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends

Skills

• Mechanical Maintenance (5 years of experience is required)
• Electrical (2 years of experience is required)
• PLC Troubleshooting (1 year of experience is required)
• hydraulics and pneumatics (3 years of experience is required)
