As a Security Officer Mobile Driver Patrol in Holtsville, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. - Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout classrooms, hallways, parking areas, athletic grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, verify access permissions when required, and assist with directing visitors according to location procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
