Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and GM-certified Diesel Technician to join our service department. This role requires a technician who already understands the complexity of GM diesel platforms and can perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, maintaining manufacturer standards, and supporting the overall performance of our diesel service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain GM diesel engines, including Duramax platforms.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting using GM diagnostic systems and factory procedures.
• Complete diesel-specific repairs such as fuel system work, emissions systems, turbochargers, DEF systems, and high-pressure components.
• Document all repairs accurately in accordance with GM and dealership standards.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair needs, timelines, and recommendations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Participate in ongoing GM training to stay current with new diesel technologies and service bulletins.
• Support team members by sharing expertise and assisting with complex repairs when needed.

Qualifications

• GM factory training (required for consideration).
• Minimum 3 years of dealership experience working on GM vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills specific to diesel engines.
• Proficiency with GM tools, systems, and service information (e.g., GDS2, SI).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
