We currently have an opening for a Test Technician I in our Dyco Electronics facility, located in Hornell, NY . This position is critical to the success of production testing and will support routine electrical testing of components and assemblies, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor . The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, technically curious, able to follow written procedures accurately, and comfortable working with small components and basic test equipment.

Details of the Role:

The position of Test Technician I will be responsible for performing routine electrical and mechanical testing of parts according to established procedures, documenting results, identifying failures, and supporting the production team. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to follow test instructions, operate basic test equipment, communicate discrepancies, and maintain proper documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform routine testing using meters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, and other basic test equipment.
• Follow work instructions, test procedures, and product specifications accurately.
• Document all test results clearly and thoroughly.
• Identify and report failures or abnormal readings.
• Perform basic troubleshooting with guidance.
• Maintain a clean and organized testing area.
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Follow all safety procedures and reporting requirements.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year of experience in electronics, testing, manufacturing, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical concepts.
• Manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented work ethic.
• Ability to use microscopes or magnifying tools on miniature parts.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to adjust focus and perform work requiring close vision.
• Must be able to use hands and arms to manipulate small tools and components.
