About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Global Medical Operations. The successful candidate will be the operational architect for the medical evidence generation enterprise, with a focus on building a fit-for-purpose operational model tailored to the needs of medical studies across various therapeutic areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the operational model is distinct from drug development, purpose-built for medical, and capable of scaling with the evolving medical portfolio. The Executive Director will be responsible for organizational design, capability building, and establishing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with global and local regulations. They will also provide senior oversight of study operations, manage operational risks, and oversee CRO and vendor partnerships. Applicants must have a degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 12 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong background in both drug development and medical/clinical study operations. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in building and scaling operational organizations, particularly in complex, global environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory and compliance standards, as well as the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels. Strategic leadership, a focus on innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential. The Executive Director will be a key member of the leadership team, representing global medical operations and driving the operational strategy in line with the company's medical portfolio priorities.
