Pay: $35.00-$37.00 per hour

Compensation: Approximately $72,800-$76,960 annually, based on 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join a well-established, industry-leading aerospace manufacturing operation in Whitehall, MI.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, PLC programming, automation, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment.
Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and automated control systems.
Diagnose electrical, electronic, and automation-related equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and automation projects.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to improve equipment reliability.
Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, and industrial control components.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
Experience with industrial electrical controls and manufacturing automation.
Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting; Allen-Bradley/Rockwell experience preferred.
Familiarity with HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment problems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $35.00-$37.00, depending on experience.
