Temp to Hire

Monday - Friday

7am - 3:30pm (30 min lunch) with possible OT

$25-40/hr DOE

Join our team as a Diesel Mechanic, where you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered equipment in both shop and occasional field service environments.

Job Description

• Diagnosis and Repair:
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines, Forklifts and Heavy Equipment.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fuel systems, electronic control systems, and other components.
• Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
• Technical Skills:
  • Possess a strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics, including fuel systems, combustion, and electronic control systems.
  • Be proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for repairs and maintenance.
  • Understand and apply safety procedures when working with heavy machinery and potentially hazardous materials.
• Other Duties:
  • May be required to lift and move heavy parts and equipment.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • There will be some field work but will always report to the shop.

Requirements:
HSD/GED

Must have at least 3 years Heavy Equipment & Diesel Engine repair experience with Cummins engines.


Must be able to obtain TWIC, OSHA cards.

Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background check.
