Warehouse Supervisor

Team Leader I H-E-B Warehouse Or TransportationAs a Team Leader I for H-E-B Warehouse or Transportation, you'll manage different areas of operation to develop expertise in people leadership and tactical operational leadership. You'll lead a team of hourly Partners.Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Management / Operations: Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions (e.g., product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters)Provides daily supervision and support for an assigned group of hourly Partners; maintains an environment where Partners trust and respect the Leader and work together as a team to accomplish goals and objectivesEngages with Partners daily; clearly explains roles, expectations and performance measurements for each critical component that impacts business outcomesOperates a team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations; tracks / monitors / resolves complaints; ensures service recovery efforts; identifies trends; provides feedbackMonitors / evaluates key performance indicators for daily and weekly team performance; measures against goals; gets team buy-in; provides team feedbackMonitors / adjusts labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs while meeting daily facility performance expectationsTakes an active role in development of Partners; provides learning and growth opportunities; addresses performance that does not meet expectationsMaintains a clean, safe, pest-free, and well-organized facility; complies / ensures compliance with established SOPs; documents measures through SOPs in compliance with OSHA and H-E-B guidelines; recognizes Partner achievementsQualifications & Key Requirements:Work Experience: 1+ years of related experience - Required Experience in presentations - PreferredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Advanced knowledge of operations of department programs - Required Working knowledge of the industry and related EEOC and employment laws, and assigned department level reports - Required Strong organization and time management skills - Required Strong verbal / written communication skills - Required Strong analytical and project management skills - Required Strong negotiating and influencing skills - Required Intermediate skills in internal / external software and systems - Required Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail - RequiredEducation: Bachelor's Degree or 1+ years of related experience - RequiredLicenses/Certifications: Successful completion of Leadership & Development classes as assignedPhysical Demands & Working Conditions: Function in a fast-paced distribution center and office environment Travel by car or plane with overnight stays Work flexible and/or rotating schedules, including overnights, weekends, and holidays Work in multiple temperature zones Safely maneuver facility in compliance with OSHA regulations
