Reports To: Building Principal

Level: Educational Support Personnel 12-Month Position

Qualifications: Required Experience or Training: Possess valid Registered Nurse (RN) State Certification; aptitude for working with children. Desired Experience or Training: Understanding of school procedures. Special Requirements of the Position: Evidence of successful work experience and of a strong attendance record; ability to work well under pressure.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist in providing emergency care in illness and/or injury for general school population.
• Maintain all student health records.
• Maintain infirmary care facility.
• Conduct vision and hearing screening.
• Conduct conferences with parents and students regarding health issues when appropriate.
• Assist during pre-registration.
• Maintain Health Service equipment and supplies.
• Attend Special Education Department staffing when appropriate.
• Prepare health-related reports.
• Participate in special programs and other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the administration.
