Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: New Jersey

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU.
• Manage patient acuity with step-down to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry as needed.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient progress using Epic.
• Administer medications and monitor responses.
• Utilize critical care equipment and manage central lines and ventilated patients.
• Participate in patient and family education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an ICU setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license upon submission.
• Ability to float to PCU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units as needed.
