Athletic Trainer Clinical - Orthopedic Surgery

* Promotes Pediatric Sports Medicine practice.* Develops relationships with high school athletic trainers in St. Louis region, including participation in high school sporting coverage.* Assists in coordinating outreach and education programs on pediatric and adolescent sports injuries including prevention programs.* Develops teaching materials to support patients and their families with sports injuries.* Assists Pediatric Sports Physician in the Operating Room.* Assists in all aspects of the clinical care of pediatric and adolescent athletes – including diagnosis, preoperative education, surgery, postoperative follow-up and rehabilitation.* Athletic Trainers Certification (ATC) from the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).* Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.* Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).* Minimum of two years of experience (clinical experience encouraged).* Eligible for Missouri State Registration.* Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.* Competitive health insurance packages with priority appointments and lower copays/coinsurance.* Take advantage of our free Metro transit U-Pass for eligible employees.* WashU provides eligible employees with a defined contribution (403(b)) Retirement Savings Plan, which combines employee contributions and university contributions starting at 7%.* WashU covers the cost of tuition for you and your family, including dependent undergraduate-level college tuition up to 100% at WashU and 40% elsewhere after seven years with us.Washington University in St. Louis' collective success is significantly attributed to the passion and outstanding efforts of our community.
