Critical Operations Technician | Leading Data Center Provider We're looking for a Critical Operations Technician to support mission‑critical data center operations in Cedar Rapids, IA. What You’ll Do: Monitor and maintain critical facility infrastructure and building systems to ensure maximum uptime. Operate and oversee HVAC, electrical, mechanical, generator, and power distribution systems. Respond to alarms, operational issues, and facility events in a 24x7x365 mission‑critical environment. Coordinate and escort third‑party vendors performing maintenance and repair activities. Assist with preventive maintenance planning and execution. Create and maintain job plans, maintenance procedures, and operational documentation. Maintain accurate logs, reports, and system records. Support facility operations through monitoring, planning, and system oversight rather than hands‑on equipment repair. What You Bring: Experience in manufacturing, industrial facilities, power generation, critical facilities, or facilities maintenance. Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, generator, or facility systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to monitor complex building infrastructure. Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts in a mission‑critical environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety‑first mindset. Military veterans with relevant technical experience are encouraged to apply. Nice to Have: Commercial or industrial HVAC experience. Commercial generator maintenance experience. Experience supporting critical infrastructure such as hospitals, airports, utilities, or power plants. Familiarity with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and Change Management processes.
