Community Service Officer

The City of Fond du Lac is accepting applications for the position of part-time (20 hrs/week) Community Service Officer (CSO) at the Police Department. The CSO program has been a beneficial program to the Fond du Lac Police Department for many years. Because of the combined experience with our CSO program and their post-secondary education, many of our former CSO’s have become successful police officers throughout Wisconsin. The successful candidate will have the knowledge, experience, and skills necessary to perform the essential duties of the following: Assist the Fond du Lac Police Department with community relations, district policing initiatives, urban blight reduction, crime prevention and community service activities, special events, parking enforcement, scene security, and other duties as assigned. Minimum training and experience required/preferred: High schools graduate or equivalent Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record Geographic knowledge of the City of Fond du Lac Ability to interact with the public in a respectful, professional manner.
