Pharmacy Technician in Connersville, IN

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacy Technicians are needed to support inpatient pharmacy services at a reputable hospital located in the Richmond, IN area. This contract opportunity is suitable for pharmacy technicians with experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding who are comfortable working in a dynamic hospital environment. Candidates licensed in Indiana or those able to obtain licensure quickly are encouraged to apply, as Indiana’s licensing process is relatively straightforward.

Schedule Options:

Position 1: Night shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Position 2: Day/Afternoon shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding tasks according to established protocols
Restock automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis machines)
Handle incoming pharmacy phone calls and coordinate communication
Deliver medications to hospital floors efficiently and safely
Remove and dispose of expired medications following hospital procedures

Desired Qualifications:

Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain one promptly
Minimum of 2 years’ recent hospital pharmacy technician experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills for interacting with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals
