Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro)Dayton, OH | Acute Care / Comprehensive Stroke Center ICUContract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday availability requiredKey ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a fast-paced Neuro ICU treating neurological diseases, disorders, seizures, and strokes within a comprehensive stroke center environmentManage overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU as neededRead and interpret cardiac strips/dysrhythmias as part of routine patient monitoring and assessmentDocument all patient care accurately using Epic EMRFloat within the specialty cluster or to nearby campuses (within approximately 10–15 miles) based on census and staffing needs at the facility's discretion — candidate must be comfortable floating with no restrictionsMaintain availability to work every other weekend and holiday per contract requirementsRequired QualificationsActive RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted)Minimum 2 years of RN experience requiredMinimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital setting with some Neuro exposureACLS certification requiredBLS certification requiredNIHSS certification requiredEpic EMR proficiency requiredMust live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not acceptedPreferred Experience / SkillsExperience in a high-acuity, large hospital ICU environmentFamiliarity with neurological patient populations including stroke, seizure, and complex neurological disordersComfort with floating across units and campuses based on patient census and skill setWhy Join UsOpportunity to work within a comprehensive stroke center and high-acuity Neuro ICU, gaining exposure to a diverse and complex neurological patient populationUp to 24 hours of paid orientation modules available to support a smooth onboarding transition
