Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a minimum of 2 years OR experience and willingness to perform OR duties within Interventional Radiology.

Details

• Operating Room department within a 169-bed regional referral center
• Surgery department specializes in endocrine, breast, and oncologic surgical procedures, as well as gastrointestinal, colon and rectal (open and laparoscopic), and hepatobiliary procedures
• Multiple surgical specialty experience required
• Must be willing to perform OR RN duties within scope of practice in the Interventional Radiology unit
• 10-hour Day shifts with occasional evening flexibility required
• No scheduling accommodations or block scheduling requests considered for this position
• Weekend coverage required approximately once every 5-6 weeks, Friday 3:30p through Monday 7a
• On-call required on weekdays 3:30p-7p, typically 1-3 times per 5-6 days

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or Compact license required in hand at time of profile upload
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Multiple surgical specialty experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Scrub experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Scrub techs or RNs with scrub experience will receive first consideration for offer
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to adapt quickly to stressful situations
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position
• All requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; requests made after upload will not be approved
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two of the following blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
