Location: Pennsylvania

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM. Includes (2) weekend night shifts and (1) summer and (1) winter holiday call requirement per 6-week schedule. Holiday work requirement: (1) summer and (1) winter holiday. May float to GI unit or surgery center as needed.

Highlights:

• High-acuity Level I Trauma center with comprehensive surgical services including liver and kidney transplant procedures
• Operating room with 14 rooms serving adult patient population with average daily census of 30 cases
• Both scrub and circulate responsibilities across diverse case mix including orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, and trauma procedures
• Electronic medical record system: Cerner
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 40-hour orientation period with up to two pre-approved time off requests

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Minimum 2-3 years of Level I Trauma experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Both scrub and circulate experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers accepted
• Experience with surgical procedures including orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, trauma, and transplant cases
• Skills required: Total joint replacement, spinal fusion procedures, craniotomy, carotid endarterectomy, trauma including gunshot/stab wounds and multiple injury MVA, vascular procedures, and arthroscopic surgeries
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Pennsylvania fingerprinting and childline clearance required
