About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5x8 (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Pending licenses accepted Certifications: HSAP and/or CBSPD required Must-Have: Solid precepting experience Ability to start precepting full-time quickly No first-time travelers Description: We are seeking a candidate with solid precepting experience. The candidate must be quick to learn and able to start precepting full time rapidly. A minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing is required. Experience with Evotech (ASP) systems is preferred. The position requires participation in on-call duties. Weekend coverage is necessary. The candidate will work with Steris washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and autoclaves. Experience in instrument tracking software is preferred. The candidate should have expertise in various sterilization wrapping procedures. Experience with high-level disinfection and equipment cleaning is necessary. Candidates should possess knowledge of biological and chemical indicators for steam sterilization testing. A strong background in assembling sets/trays is required. Prior charge experience is preferred. The candidate must have experience working in acute care hospital settings. Experience with both Ltac and Trauma Level services is favorable. Two professional references from recent positions will be required. The candidate must not have any employment gaps greater than 30 days.
