Industrial Software Solutions (Downstream)
Location: Houston, TX
An innovative industrial technology company is looking for a high-energy Account Manager to help drive digital transformation across the downstream refining and petrochemical sector.

The Role
You’ll take ownership of developing and growing accounts across the Houston downstream market, combining new business generation with strategic account management.
This is a consultative, technical sales role where success comes from understanding customer
operations, uncovering pain points, and positioning technology solutions that deliver measurable
value.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across plant operations, maintenance, turnaround,
engineering, and leadership teams - building credibility from the plant floor to the boardroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Build and grow relationships within downstream refining and petrochemical accounts.
• Proactively generate new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through close and account expansion.
• Deliver engaging software demonstrations and communicate complex technical solutions
clearly.
• Lead discovery conversations to understand operational challenges and future-state
goals.
• Navigate multi-level stakeholder environments across technical and executive teams.
• Maintain momentum across multiple opportunities through strong organisation and
follow-up.
• Travel regularly to customer sites across Houston, with occasional wider travel (<25%).
What We’re Looking For
• Experience selling into downstream refining, petrochemical, or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of plant operations and industrial stakeholder structures.
• Proven ability to win new business and grow customer relationships.
• Comfortable selling technical or software-based solutions.
• Confident presenting, demoing products, and leading customer conversations.
• Strong commercial awareness and consultative sales approach.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to recognised sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, Sandler, or similar is a
plus.
• Based in the Greater Houston area and authorised to work in the U.S.
