As a Probate and Trust Administration Paralegal, you will: Assist attorneys with trust and estate administration, including preparing trustee notices, accountings, and required filings. Draft court documents such as petitions, inventories, appraisals, and distributions. Coordinate asset valuations, transfers, and distributions for trust and estate administration. Communicate clearly and collaboratively with clients, attorneys, and third parties, ensuring transparency and professionalism. Track and meet deadlines for probate and trust administration filings, notices, and tasks. Support attorneys in preparing for hearings and case-related proceedings. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who: Has had prior experience in probate and trust administration or a related legal field. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding (and ability to research) the Probate Code, California Rules of Court (CRC), and California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP). Communicates clearly and collaboratively with clients, attorneys, and third parties. Is proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe, including OCR and Bates stamping. As our Ambassador of First Impressions, you’ll manage front office operations, support client intake, and help run our client seminars and events. This role offers real hands-on exposure to how an estate planning and probate practice operates. This role is a key member of our team, responsible for sales, lead follow-up, and clientexperience for our estate planning, business law, and trust administration practice. It requires anunderstanding of estate planning work product — you don’t need to have sold it before, but you do need toknow what a trust, a pour-over will, and a funded estate plan actually are. A track record of handling big pricepoints and sensitive conversations with maturity matters just as much. Compensation: $130,000 to $160,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus production bonus and benefitsLocation: Remote, with active California State Bar admission required. Travel to Chico is occasional and as needed for court hearings or in-person matters that require it. Most hearings are conducted remotely unless the judge orders otherwise.
