Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Warehouse Associates and Material Handlers for a busy distribution center in Wheeling, WV! If you're looking for a warehouse job, material handler position, distribution center job, order picker, or forklift opportunity in Wheeling , this could be a great fit.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

This is a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment where you will receive, scan, pick, pack, replenish, and prepare products for shipment while operating various types of material handling equipment.

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities

Receive large boxes and products on the warehouse dock
Scan products using an RF scanner
Enter product information into a computer system
Break down cases of product
Replenish warehouse inventory
Pick large and small products using a voice-to-pick system
Operate material handling equipment to pick and move products
Palletize large items onto skids and wrap products for shipment
Pack smaller products into boxes
Operate warehouse equipment as required, including:
- Order picker / cherry picker
- Forklift
- Reach truck
- Turret truck
- Pallet jack
- Walkie rider
Rotate between various warehouse areas and job duties as needed

Warehouse Job Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment
Ability to meet hourly productivity quotas and performance standards
Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and lift for an 8-hour shift or longer
Ability to safely work at heights up to 25 feet
Willingness to work overtime with little to no advance notice
Basic warehouse, material handling, and packaging skills
Willingness to learn and operate various material handling equipment
Flexibility to rotate into different warehouse departments

Preferred Experience

Previous warehouse or distribution experience
Material handling experience
Forklift, reach truck, order picker, or pallet jack experience
RF scanner experience
Voice-to-pick experience
High school diploma or GED preferred
