Medical Science Liaison - Pipeline, Immunology (Great Lakes)

AstraZeneca seeks a field-based Medical Science Liaison to advance its immunology pipeline across the Great Lakes region. The role involves building relationships with healthcare providers and investigators, supporting clinical trials in autoimmune disease areas, and facilitating scientific dialogue to drive patient enrollment and protocol understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scientific and medical exchanges at portfolio level including cell therapy and immunomodulatory agents
  • Build non-promotional relationships with investigators and healthcare providers at clinical trial sites
  • Map disease networks, identify new sites and referral pathways to support enrollment strategy
  • Support feasibility assessment by evaluating patient pools, care patterns, and competing trials
  • Collaborate with R&D and clinical operations to address enrollment barriers and investigator site issues

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, NP, or PA-C)
  • Minimum 2 years field medical experience or clinical trial research experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in scientific communication across diverse audiences
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory environment
  • Ability to travel 50–70% of the time
  • Experience in rheumatology, gastroenterology, or neurology preferred
  • Familiarity with GCP/ICH and clinical research site logistics preferred

Compensation: $160,396–$240,594 base annual salary
