Registered Nurse 2 – Stafford Creek Corrections Center, Aberdeen, WA Hourly Salary: $45.01 - $73.79. On-Call position. Shift differential: $2.50 per hour evening/night shift, $1.00 for 11pm‑7am, $3.00 for Friday midnight to Sunday midnight. Overview Position supports the Department of Corrections mission to improve public safety by delivering nursing services that promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjusting to various health conditions. Responsibilities Be available to work all shifts (day, swing, graveyard) including weekends and holidays. Provide written availability by the 10th of each month. Complete paid three‑week correctional worker core training M‑F 8:00‑4:30 pm. Deliver services to promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions. Screen, assess, and evaluate incarcerated individuals. Respond to all health‑care requests in a complete, timely, clinically appropriate manner. Delegate and supervise work; monitor, manage, coordinate, and deliver health care. Plan transitions, make referrals, and arrange follow‑up when patients transfer or return to community. Assist patients in improving the skill and ability to provide care for themselves and family. Provide counseling, consulting, teaching, advising, and health information that improves quality of health services and enhances safety and security. Qualifications Initial and continuous unencumbered licensure in Washington as a Registered Nurse, or a multistate license from a compact state with completion of Suicide Prevention, EDIR training, and MLS demographic survey. One year experience as a Registered Nurse. Training by the American Heart Association in Healthcare Provider CPR. Proficient in computer‑based programs for scheduling, monitoring, tracking patient information, data entry, word processing, and email communication. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Desired Qualifications Certification as a Correctional Healthcare Professional.
