Job Title: Step down Registered Nurse

Pay Range: 1956.68 - 2054.51

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: BLS; 2 years exp req; Must adhere to UVAs float policy; Must submit with VA license pending; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care to TCV surgical patients on a step-down unit with a nurse-patient ratio of 4 or 5:1.
• Monitor patients on cardiac drips and art lines, including post-operative lobectomies, AAA repairs, and transplants.
• Follow UVAs float policy and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuous, quality care.
• Document patient information accurately using Epic electronic medical records.
• Support patient recovery and comfort while adhering to safety protocols and standards.
