The Currents system is a robust Kafka-based event pipeline handling tens of billions of messages daily that our customers leverage to analyze user behavior in near real-time.You’ll be a key engineer on a highly collaborative and skilled team, responsible for bringing projects from concept to production and improving our existing high-scale systems. You will be leveraging your past experiences, your skills, and a strong sense of teamwork to tackle the significant engineering challenges of running a critical data streaming system.WHO YOU ARE5+ years of full-stack development experienceExperience building foundational systems at scale and spearheading software projects that significantly advanced the goals of your organizationLeads by example. Makes your colleagues betterSelf-starter with great communication and organizational skills and experience working in a highly collaborative team environmentExperience with Kafka at scale, or comparable technologyProfessional experience working with distributed systems and/or microservicesBonus if you’ve worked with Java, Kotlin, Confluent, or ReactFor candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,400 and $232,200/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $156,000 and $258,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
