Patient Services Coordinator

Patient Services CoordinatorUnder the direction of the Medical Director and/or Nurse Manager, this position's primary function is to process referral requests, obtain authorization for medical services and/or admissions, and coordinate all aspects of the admission process if applicable. The responsibilities of the Patient Services Coordinator include data entry of referrals and authorizations, verification of eligibility and daily communication with insurance companies. The Patient Service Coordinator works closely with the clinical team and medical providers to provide care for our patients in a timely manner.Primary Department: UHS RheumatologyPrimary Work Shift: DayRegular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Compensation Range: $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experienceEducation/ExperienceMinimum Required:High School Diploma or equivalentTwo (2) years' experience working in healthcare OR Two (2) years' experience working in customer serviceProficient PC skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyPreferred:Knowledge of insurance referral processKnowledge of Medical TerminologyBasic computer skills; EHR, Excel, Microsoft Office
