Lead Developer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Developer in San Antonio, TX. Summary: This role is a Lead Developer position, focusing on AWS, Apache Flink, Java, Spring Boot, REST and Kafka. We are seeking a motivated and eager Lead to join our dynamic technology team. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about software development who will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using a modern technology stack. This is an opportunity to gain an enterprise level experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Kafka, and cloud-native development on AWS, while contributing to impactful projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Development experience in cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS services
- Development experience in Apache Flink Pipeline Jobs
- Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions
- Experience in Golang development for EKS and Lambda
- Experience with Terraform
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Foundational knowledge of Java programming
- Understanding of core Spring Boot concepts
- Familiarity with RESTful API principles
- Basic understanding of messaging queues or streaming platforms like Kafka
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
