Daily Substitute School Nurse Per Diem

Daily Substitute School Nurse (2025‑2026 SY) – Per Diem Farmington Public Schools is looking for substitute nurses to work per diem in our schools for the 2025‑2026 school year. Substitute School Nurses are paid hourly and can choose the days they work. They are used to fill school nurse absences and assist with annual screenings. Location Townwide Compensation $35.00 per hour. Responsibilities The school district will contact you to fill in for School Nurses who are absent. Provide care for diabetics with insulin pumps (knowledge of continuous glucose monitors helpful; glucagon administration) Provide G‑tube feeds Provide epilepsy management (Diastat administration) Provide asthma management (inhaler and nebulizer administration) Provide anaphylaxis management (Epi‑pen administration) Familiarity with tracheotomy care, suctioning/replacement, and ventilators Qualifications BS in Nursing or related field preferred Knowledge of pediatrics and public health Connecticut Nursing License (please upload a copy of your license with your application) How to Apply Apply online and an administrator will contact you to set up an interview.
