HVAC Mechanical Project Manager

Role Overview
We're seeking a HVAC Mechanical Project Manager in Columbia to oversee the installation and replacement of commercial mechanical systems.

Impact
- Ensure equipment replacements and design-build projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Improve system reliability for mission-critical facilities and data centers.
- Maintain high safety standards across regional job sites.
- Foster strong relationships with subcontractors and field personnel to ensure quality workmanship.

Responsibilities
- Review project plans to determine schedules, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
- Purchase all necessary equipment and materials for construction tasks.
- Direct the activities of field crews and specialized subcontractors like electricians and crane operators.
- Provide technical advice to team members to resolve onsite mechanical issues.
- Assist sales teams with cost estimates for labor and materials for new bids.
- Manage the design and estimation of project change orders.
- Prepare regular project status reports for management and clients.
- Compile final warranty paperwork and operation manuals for the customer.
- Complete equipment commissioning procedures to verify system performance.

Requirements
Must-Haves
- Five or more years of experience managing commercial HVAC projects.
- Strong knowledge of RTUs, split systems, and commercial mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid driver license and the ability to travel to regional job sites.
- Ability to climb ladders and survey equipment in outdoor weather conditions.
Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with chillers and cooling towers.
- Background in design-build project delivery.
