Overview Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a mid-level associate with 4-6 years of experience to join the Energy Team in our Houston, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, or Washington, DC office. This position is focused on transactional work in the power and renewable energy sector and offers the opportunity to work on acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, development arrangements, and other strategic transactions across the industry. Responsibilities Qualified candidates will have experience representing and advising clients in power and renewable energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and related commercial and development matters. Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, development agreements, and related transaction documents, as well as managing due diligence and supporting transactions through signing and closing, is required. This role is suited to an associate who is comfortable managing multiple workstreams, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across offices, and engaging directly with partners, senior attorneys, and clients. Candidates should have strong drafting, organizational, and project management skills, together with clear written and verbal communication and the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative, cross-office practice. Qualifications Applicants must hold a JD from an ABA accredited law school and be active members in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office's state will be a condition of employment. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
