Key Qualifications (ER Nurse Requirements)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ED/ER) nursing experience required
  
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN License accepted
  
• Diploma of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
  
• Experience with high-acuity adult cardiac and internal medicine patients preferred
  
• Ability to provide age- and culturally-specific patient care and education
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse setting
  
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional growth and evidence-based practice
  

Responsibilities (Emergency Department RN)

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals and groups in the Emergency Department
  
• Use critical thinking to manage high-acuity and trauma patient populations
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, and allied health staff
  
• Perform age-specific and culturally competent interventions and patient education
  
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ANA code of ethics and hospital policies
  
• Adapt to change in a fast-paced ER environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement
