Marketing and Communications Manager

As a Marketing and Communications Manager at AgCarolina Farm Credit, you'll serve as a strategic partner to lending and executive leadership teams, helping drive business growth, strengthen employee engagement, advocate for agriculture, and enhance AgCarolina's impact throughout the communities we serve. You'll lead the association's growth marketing strategy, overseeing digital marketing channels including website, social media, email marketing, digital advertising, SEO, AI powered search, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools. You'll work independently and collaboratively to execute the internal and external communications strategy, ensuring consistent, effective messaging that supports organizational objectives, employee engagement, project and change management initiatives, member education, brand reputation, and Farm Credit's voice within the agricultural community. Additionally, you'll be part of a culture that values mentorship, candid conversations, attention to detail, and timely decision-making in service of agriculture and rural communities.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and lead a high-performing marketing and communications team that delivers measurable business results.
- Build strong relationships with employees, members, agricultural producers, industry partners, elected officials, community leaders, and trade organizations.
- Partner with lending team to identify growth opportunities, support prospecting efforts, and develop targeted marketing campaigns that drive loan growth and member acquisition.
- Execute integrated growth marketing strategies that generate qualified lending opportunities, increase market penetration, and strengthen member experience.
- Deliver effective internal and external communications that support organizational alignment, employee engagement, and successful change initiatives.
- Establish meaningful performance metrics and analytics that demonstrate marketing effectiveness, communication impact, member engagement, and contribution to Association growth objectives.
- Advance Farm Credit advocacy efforts through strategic legislative engagement, relationship building, and promotion of Farm Credit and agricultural priorities.
- Support achievement of Association business plan goals through data-driven marketing, communications, and public affairs initiatives.
- Evaluate and leverage emerging tools, AI-enabled marketing tools and digital engagement strategies to enhance member engagement, campaign effectiveness and organizational impact.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships to enhance the Association's reputation.

What We're Looking For:
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a college degree in business, marketing, communications, agriculture or related field and seven years of experience in marketing, communications, business development, public affairs, or related areas. Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of the Farm Credit system and knowledge of agriculture is helpful
- Experience developing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable business outcomes.
- Experience utilizing marketing analytics, CRM systems, and digital performance metrics to inform decision making
- Superior communication (oral and written), decision/problem solving skills and good judgement
- Capability to handle high stress situations in a business and professional manner
- Ability to travel within and outside AgCarolina's territory for training

Internal candidates must have at least 2 years of Farm Credit experience, a Fully Successful rating or higher on their most recent performance review and have been in their current role for at least 2 years before applying.
