RN - PCU

PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using Meditech software.

Position Details:

• Shift: Day shifts, 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours/week
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5
• Weekend Requirement: Weekend rotation
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year PCU experience required, including IV start competency.
• Licensure: Current RN license required. Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Floating: Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Local Candidates: Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius.

Additional Information:

• Block scheduling is not available beyond 3 or 4 shifts.
• Any requests for time off must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment.
• Scrub colors are flexible; however, OR, L&D, and Cath Lab scrubs will be provided.
• Parking is free for all staff members.
