Our client, a local growing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its team. This position will report directly to the controller and offers the opportunity to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations, financial analysis, and reporting while working in a collaborative environment.

This role is excellent for an accounting professional who enjoys working with financial data, solving problems, and contributing to the overall efficiency of a finance department. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve billing issues.
• Process billing and record revenue accurately.
• Reconcile accounts and research any discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and month-end close.
• Analyze financial data, prepare reports, and maintain account reconciliations.
• Assist with special projects and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
• Provide support for other accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+years of general accounting experience.
• Degree in accounting or a related field preferred but not required.
• General understanding of U.S. accounting principles and standard financial reporting practices.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience reviewing financial records, researching discrepancies, and assisting with periodic accounting procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
